Learning Appropriate Touch is an ABA-based app that aims to teach users which body regions are appropriate, inappropriate, and circumstantial to touch across friends, family members, strangers, teachers, and doctors. In addition, users learn where it is appropriate or inappropriate for them to be touched. There are three sublevels in each level that utilize stimulus prompts. The first sublevel teaches correct responses with shaded colors. The second sublevel fades the prompts to an outline of the region, and the third sublevel includes images of real people so that the responses are generalized. After each level is taught, there are three levels that intermix previous learning to ensure maintenance of skills. Users receive points, coins, and tokens to reinforce correct responses. A green signal and high-pitched ding immediately follow a correct answer to reinforce the behavior. A red signal and buzzer immediately follow incorrect answers to again provide immediate feedback. The goal of the app is to educate individuals with limited skills inappropriate touch on where they can touch others and where they can be touched to decrease the risk of sexual allegations or for sexual or physical abuse. There are default settings for each level, but administrators on the app can adjust what regions are appropriate, inappropriate, and circumstantial to individualize teaching to each user.
